The Investigation Unit investigates complaints from clients, licensees, agencies and other entities involving licensed social workers, counselors, and MFTs. The Board only has jurisdiction over individuals and does not investigate agencies. The Board also does not investigate issues that are employment related. The vast majority of the complaints received by the Board are with regard to client care but the Board will also investigate supervision issues, licensee impairment concerns, and continuing education audit issues.
